On Friday, 12 September 2025, we challenged schools, parents, teachers, and companies to flood South Africa with a Sea of Yellow in support of children living with ADHD. The Goldilocks and the Bear Foundation extends our heartfelt thanks to every school and participant who joined this incredible movement.
A Wave of Support
Across classrooms and playgrounds, learners proudly wore yellow and contributed their R10 to stand in solidarity with children who often feel unseen. Together, we sent a powerful message: children with ADHD are not alone, and their struggles matter.
The Impact You Made
Thanks to your support, the funds raised will directly help the Foundation continue its work of providing free mental health screening and intervention for children in underprivileged communities. Each contribution ensures that more children can be identified early, supported in the classroom, and guided toward brighter futures.
Beyond the funds raised, the Sea of Yellow created something priceless: awareness. Teachers, parents, and learners had conversations about ADHD, breaking down stigma and replacing it with understanding, empathy, and encouragement.
Why It Matters
ADHD is one of the most common childhood conditions, yet many children remain undiagnosed and unsupported. With initiatives like the Sea of Yellow, we shine a light on these challenges while building a community that chooses inclusion and compassion over misunderstanding and judgment.
Looking Ahead
This year’s Sea of Yellow was only the beginning. The wave of positivity, awareness, and generosity has inspired us to dream even bigger for 2026. Next year, we hope to see even more schools, more learners, and more South Africans turning yellow in solidarity.
Together, we are changing lives, one learner, one school, one yellow shirt at a time.
